Sorry buckwheat, I haven't used a Linux distro in a couple of years, am purely a Windows/OS X person.
Why you have your panties in a wad is beyond me, all I said was there is more than one traceroute command depending on what OS the reader uses...
You seem to allude to the fact that Windows users are dumb compared to Linux/OS X users...
IMHO there are all types who read and post in this forum and it would have been polite on your part to have mentioned both iterations of that command or that tracert is a Windows/MS-DOS command..

Technically speaking this is a non threaded topic and it can't be threaded as the software doesn't allow it. Threads is a term used to describe where replies to specific posts in a topic are shown under the comment that is being replied too.
The comment part for news stories and blogs are often threaded, here is another example:
