How do you set up online fund to raise hearing aid $ for a senior gent?

My latest pair were not molded. They just fit in the ear. The programming required to help me hear was done on a computer at the doctors office. This tells me that the chips, etc are standardized in the units so no customization.

$5.5k for all the bells and whistles.

Insurance payed $2500.00 of it.

There is no reason they should cost that much, I have to wonder how many people are buying these other products and end up damaging their hearing more because of poor or no documentation on how to use it like a hearing aid.
