BTW Jtur, the url's I posted were to numerous different radio stations around the world, did you go to it and see how it operates?

Or just automatically blow them off?
I went to the site you suggested, which offered numerous stations, many of which were accessible, and I succeeded in finding others. A fact which I think I reported and thanked you for. It is bookmarted for future reference.

Interesting that the site you suggested has, for some countries, dozens of stations, even hundreds, but only one for all of India.

I think they're referring to streams from actual radio stations, rather than the artist basted stations from those types of programs.

I hate Pandora. I choose a genre, and it is OK at first, then keeps widening and widening the scope of the genre, until I am clicking Skip for almost every song.

Ah, I see. Rdio or Iheartradio would be good if it were regular radio stations. I haven't used WMP to stream content for 8 years or so.

I had the exact opposite issue with Spotify. Chose an artist station, and it basically replays the same 20 songs by the same 10 artists over and over.

By following plwhit's links, I found http://www.live-radio.net/info.shtml which seems to work very well. But it seems about 90% of the stations cannot be accessed, for reasons which are usually associated with the station being off live-sream or the link is dead. But if the station is accessible, this site is quick and smooth with no hassles or bs.

For anyone interested, I just found a wonderful Russian site at 101.ru

They appear to have at least a hundred streaming stations, each in a different genre, and each one is listed by the song they are currently playing. It's in Russian, so it will take a bit of experimentation if you can't read Russian, but you can just click on any player and it comes right up. Non-Russian music is identified by title and artist in Roman alphabet.
