I have to go to the school for some kind of parent meeting. While Im waiting, when I hook up to the schools wifi, will the sites that students cant go on from their accounts I cant go on either. For example, my son says facebook and twitter are blocked. Is the block only for student accounts, or everyone who uses the wifi.

Pretty sure that they block social media at the network level.

People survive without being on facebook 24/7

Why would you need to be on facebook for a parent teacher meeting? You seriously can't go 10 minutes without a fix?

Don't you have a data connection with your phone? Just use that - don't use the school's network.

You HAVE to arrive at 2:30... for a 5:30 meeting??? I would have an issue with that. Your school thinks it is acceptable to demand you wait for 3 hours??? Someone would be getting an earful from me.

Are you expecting a message from Pluto? Can't you go for a few hours without looking at a screen ? It must be hell to be so important that you have to be in touch with social media every moment of the day. It might be better to be thinking what that "Some kind of " meeting is about instead !

And you agreed to that? For a 5:30 appointment, I would arrive at 5:20.

And a meeting about how your child is doing in school isn't stupid.
