Receiving Yahoo emails (desktop, monitor, click, download)

I just got a new email account and always leave the yahoo tab up so I can monitor my emails that come in. But I noticed that the new emails do automatically come through. I have to click on mail to see the new emails that came in. Isn't there anyway to see the new emails without have to click on inbox to see new emails?

get a yahoo mail or configurable email add on to your browser or use thunderbird or outlook and set them to pop up with new emails.
