The better thing to do is to create a LinkedIn account rather than Facebook, although it hasn't, personally, been very helpful to me. Then again, I don't have a premium account.

Not sure why anyone who read the OP took it as "you must have Facebook to get a job here...". That was not inferred to me.
Maybe they post jobs online. Maybe if he was friends with those 2 people they might contact him that way "hey we have a job perfect for you".
