I was banned from another forum recently for a dumb reason. I have tried hiding myself in many ways. I have changed my Mac Address, turned router off for a while, and more, and nothing is working. Is there another way, besides proxies?
If you were banned from a forum try creating a different login (and if you are allowed back on by the admins/mods apologize and don't do the dumb thing again)...

Your router has its own MAC address and assigned IP address. Changing either may not allow your router to communicate with your provider... many providers will authenticate according to MAC addresses.
Changing your local IP address or MAC address on your machine won't work. Network addresses are being translated between public and private networks... From the public side of your router, the requests being sent out are from a single IP address and MAC... it doesn't matter how many machines you have on the private network.
Proxies are similar that it makes receives and forwards the request again on your behalf.... thus a different IP and MAC. I wouldn't be surprised if high traffic forums are configured to block well known proxies as well.
If you're with Comcast, get a new modem from them...the mac address will be different and should solve your problem and still keep your service. There are some mac spoof software out there, but i've never used one. The other alternative is to post in that forum from a wireless coffee shop if you're so desperate to post there.

City-Data does. Tried loading it while on the tor network and got a forum-generated error message that the ip was blocked.
