It's a big internet forum good for searching for jokes. At first it was sprawling and kind of confusing.
I just joined Reddit and had some problems posting more than one post. It helps if you verify your email address, then you can post more. You have to do a "type the blurry letters" thing for each post.
The search works okay but I wonder if some people don't like using/navigating in it.
I like it, but it appeals to me for different reasons than City-Data does. Mostly, I appreciate the opportunity to downvote posts and threads I don't like. Even so, I upvote more than I downvote.
It's a younger crowd than here. Language is rougher and moderation is lighter. It won't be everyone's cup of tea.
I don't use their default front page though, as I find that there's just far too much there to try to keep up with. Instead I subscribe to several "subs" for particular interests, and stick to those.
