I'm currently use ipowerweb.com to host my website and have been happy, but lately it seems their customer service technical support is slacking. The host should be compatible with Windows and ASP because I'll be using FrontPage to edit things and spreadsheets. I don't need a whole lot of space because I don't have any media on my site and I don't plan to get more than a couple thousand monthly hits.

I can say that ipowerweb has good deals but unless u are web-designing savy, I would say stay away from it.

My wife and I use Web hosting by eHost, and it's been fairly good for us. Inexpensive and reliable. Plus they've been around for several years.

Don't trust those review sites, they are almost all biased to put it mildly. And avoid hosts that offer unlimited this and that.

webhostingtalk.com if you want the nitty gritty.

Personally I use JaguarPC, they have standard plans but cater mostly to larger customers.

I don't think that's a fair assessment.

My host, omnis.com, offers unlimited storage, data transfer, e-mails, etc. . etc. . .

I've been with them for 9 years and never had a problem.

Well, with many of those companies unlimited this and that is just a marketing trick (I guess it is called overselling). When you actually do use too much bandwidth, traffic etc., they can terminate the contract, which usually contains a clause like that in the small print.

I've yet to see any fine print in my agreement with them stating such.

Its all been completely unlimited so far; keep in mind I don't have the traffic of google.com or even C-D.com, but I've experienced no problems with my web host (other than a couple of customer service incidents that teed me off). The technical aspect of their service has been great.
