I made an offer that was accepted, but now am curious how to protect myself...
The last email to me was to "Eric."
It does show "PENDING for Mike Jaquish."

Jaquish.net WHOIS, DNS, & Domain Info - DomainTools

Any advice on how to proceed?

Depending on the amount involved, which I suspect probably isn't a lot, you could use an escrow service.

Besides that, you could do something like half up front and the other half after the domain is transferred.

Obviously, it is an ego buy.
So, I bid too much. LOL

They want to use PayPal, and are in the Grand Caymans.
Maybe I will go through my registrar to buy. Make the transfer easier, too.

Just send the money.
I have bought them before.

I have never been burned.
