OP, in the future every time you join a forum or find an interesting site, bookmark it. That's how I keep track. I have a lot of bookmarks, but I keep them well organized so they're easy to find. I also review them about once a month and prune the list of sites I find I no longer visit.

Bookmarking is what I do. Also, sometimes you can just start typing the name of the website or search terms you used to get wherever you were. It works surprisingly well. I do not bookmark everything I'm into. Sometimes I just key in the search terms, and it takes me straight to the website, no hassle whatsoever. I'm not a clean freak when it comes to files, though, so I probably have stuff stored from when I bought this computer!
Google also remembers certain sites that you visit frequently and makes a page with them on it when it first go online. To find sites you visited the previous day or week, just close the info boxes until you get to the sites you frequent. It has the word "frequent" and then a list of the websites you often visit when you open a new tab. If was fairly recent, you could thumb through those.
