Be aware about a scam trying to get your paypal info. I've been receiving spam from a few different url's [not paypal] requesting that I verify account information and that if I don't, my account will be deleted in 48 hours. Has a big 'click here' box. Poorly written with bad grammar. Big problem with this request. I don't have a paypal account.

Exactly what I do when I get these emails.

I've also gotten these scam emails from Amazon, although the amazon account in our house doesn't use my email. I've never seen a legitimate company ask you to verify details like that through email, and if I had any doubt as to if it was legitimate, I'd just fire off a quick email to them, and they could confirm or deny the request.

one hint to avoid fishing scams is to never click on a link in an email from a bank.

just open up a new browser tab and enter www.bank-name.com and type in your user/pass. (then you wont have to worry about fraudulent links in email).
