OK, yes the base is next to the TV. And its cordless. Tested on Megapath and the internet is "excellent". So I will try moving the phone away from the TV, but it still has to be connected to the modem so how do I do this? All these cord connections drive me nuts. At least I got rid of the cable for TV, but now I have an antenna cord instead. TIA

Just to clarify, are you using a wireless connection between the teleo and your modem or is it wired? If wired, there usually isn't much of any interference unless you are stacking devices together. But to check, just move it away and see if things work better.
Also, how does your voicemail sound when you play them back?
Next, is the phone base connected to the teleo by a wire or are you using the DECT wireless connection? If using DECT connection, that can have interference from time to time form other devices.
I would start with the most basic of all test. Plug in a standard corded phone with no wireless connections and see if things improve. If they do, odds are it your cordless phone.
I am not going to fool around with Ooma any more. I do not have another phone to try. I have read all the customers complaints and agree, it's not what it used to be. You cannot even contact them by phone, unless you are using the Ooma voip. In addition, it takes months before they stop debiting your account. Transferring to the East Coast server is just what they tell everyone to do, and that does not help. People are coming back on line saying they STILL have the same phone problems.
I will just use my cell and toss this Ooma into the trash.
Well, darn. I will be in need of a home phone in the future,
and thought OOma might be the ticket
