Please tell me this is spam. My junk folder had two messages saying my Google account would be cancelled as, it said, I had requested,, which I had not. One was from Insider.com. No idea who the other was from but it said my gmail account would be closed at the instant I open that one. Definitely spams?

Thanks. Hazel

People click the link and get a Gmail looking page, then enter their credentials in the supplied fields. Bad guys then log in and change their password and either start sending spam or emailing listed contacts pretending to be you with a sob story to try and get money out of them.

I don't click any of their links. The only reason I even look at spam is in case there is a "not spam" in there. Once in a while that happens. Not often.
