I'm not sure where to post this. For the last week my Facebook "Suggested Friends for You" has included nothing but naked people, guys with huge erections and porn. I have been reporting these profiles to Facebook as "inappropriate" however when you receive more than 20 a day it becomes time consuming. Has anybody else had this issue? Is there any way to actually get in touch with Facebook to make them stop sending me friend suggestions?

Maybe you've been hacked. I'm assuming you are female due to the nature of the porn. I could be wrong. I'm hoping, for your sake, that this can be cleared up.

If you do get it figured out can you update this thread?

I wish I had a suggestion for you, but I'm stumped.

Apparently it has been happening to many people according to the search my son did for me. It's really ridiculous that there's no way to discontinue receiving their friend suggestions. I did change my password about a month ago but I'm going to change it again today to see if that helps.

Sounds like it's time to just dump Farcebook. (FYI, a good idea regardless.)

Dumped few years ago and don't miss it at all. Way too much drama with all the social media.

I'm considering it also. I cut my friend's list down to about 10 because of all the presidential election B.S. that everyone was posting.

I did find a place to remove friend suggestions but only on my P.C., not on my phone.

I've always found it creepy how Facebook is always suggesting friends I've never heard of. I assume they're friends of friends of friends of friends or something but it's still Moderator cut: . creepy.

I've done the same thing. I just do forums now, pretty much.

FWIW, Twitter is a waste and Instagram is like the new Backpage mixed with Messenger. It is also a huge waste of time, and can get old pretty quick. Never bothered with Tumblr but that is a porn paradise, and I learned from a friend that it is how "bored desk workers behind a computer" get to circumvent firewalls and look at porn during not busy times. Which, some days, is all day, some days maybe a little busier, but, still.

The way Spam works is if someone (perhaps someone that doesn't like you, maybe someone part of a group targeting you) puts your name in some kind of "bot" or list... Which then generates fake profiles sent your way, where if you respond, it generates more. Ignoring it makes it stop.

By "Dump Facebook" I mean I cannot bring myself to delete the profile, since I have approximately 7 years of stuff on there, but I also don't use it. I did delete Myspace with all my stuff from 2007/2008-2012. I am entering the next chapter of my life.

The blanket condemnation of Facebook over a few issues is totally unfair. I have re-connected with a long lost college roommate, one of the most influential people in my life, through FB. I once got an ATM card I had left by mistake returned because the guy found me on Facebook. I keep up with cousins, former classmates and long lost friends this way too.

If it's not for you that's fine, but stop being so judgmental as others find it very useful.
