Ok, I need help. People always say that they don’t need satellite or cable anymore to watch their favorite sports teams that are “out-of-market”. I have seen online that people say they can stream NHL games out of market for free.

Does anyone do this and how ? I am a technological dope and need to be taken by the hand with this process...lol

You're not getting NHL games for free. Just not happening.

Sports is the single biggest cost for TV packages. If you have cable TV you are probably paying more than a grand per year for sports. You are not going to get it for free legitimately. Check this out for $20 per month:

What's missing is sports channels and cable news. You

You can watch most games for free with the Yahoo Sports app on your phone.

I would't be so quick to assume that.

It's almost 10am here so there's no way to test it but tonight or any other night, the OP may want to give this a try. Assuming it's on at night of course.

https://live-nhl.stream/

or try some of the the links from this google search.

That site is connecting to offsite links all of which are likely illegal streams.

Yes, you can get almost any NHL game for free if you know where to look. The NHL charges way too much. I would be glad to pay a reasonable charge. Since they don't, I have found out where to see the games that I want. I mostly watch the playoffs, though, which has some games on free TV, so I don't hurt them much by watching a stream, but they are definitely out there.

Way too much? $144.99 is 'way too much'?
I think that's pretty damn cheap to watch any game from any team all season long. For 82 games and playoffs?** or $115.99 for ONE team**?

**Blackouts apply

Still... I don't think that's too much. In fact, I'd call it a deal for a true fan.

I don't have time to watch 82 games. I made time for the playoffs when my team was good enough (Red Wings). Now that they suck, any amount of money is too much.
