This is the 64th day of living in solitary confinement due to the Covid-19 plague.

I guess I have gone a little bit crazy. Doing things I shouldn't or wouldn't normally do. Like antagonize Red China.

So I posted that we should get sweet sweet revenge against the Chicoms by boycotting their products in the U.S. Well wouldn't you know, I caught the attention of the Comment Section.

For those who don't know about those baddies:

"PLA Unit 61398(also known as APT 1, Comment Crew, Comment Panda, GIF89a, and Byzantine Candor)(Chinese: 61398部队, Pinyin: 61398 bùduì) is the Military Unit Cover Designator (MUCD)[1]of a People's Liberation Armyadvanced persistent threatunit that has been alleged to be a source of Chinese computer hackingattacks....The unit is stationed in Pudong, Shanghai..."

From Wikipedia at: https://web.archive.org/web/20161202...ject_id=106021

PLA means Peoples Liberation Army soldiers.

You have no idea of how deep the Chicoms have gotten into what some call "soft power" which is China's version of the old soviet "hit you between the eyes" propaganda or maybe better understood as thought control in the Chinese version. Think sneaky. Preposterous you say? Here a job ad by the PLA recruiting post-grad comp-sci majors for just this government program. So some of the posters on this site are PLA computer hackers spreading disinformation. Just get a sharp stick and poke them.

OK I admit it. I posted "Click Bait."-job-ad.jpg

Default Click Bait translation

The Wikipedia page quote states:

"PLA [People's liberation Army] Unit 61398, Apt. [Section] 1, Comment Crew, [also known as, "a/k/a"] Comment Panda, [a/k/a as the ] Byzantine Candor [which uses] Chinese Pinyin [a computer application which converts Chinese characters to the roman alphabet]

[All the above four cover names] are the Military Unit Cover Designator [of the PLA's cyber] advanced persistent threat unit that has been alleged to be a source of Chinese computer hacking attacks [and the spread of disinformation to shape public opinion]. The unit is stationed in Pudong, Shanghai, [Peoples Republic of China.]"

This military command is well funded and is staffed with many hundreds of computer science engineers who are as good as they get.
