DIY - Website hosting/building?
=========================

Thanks for reviewing my threads.

I did search for threads on above subject in this forum. Most of them are dated and url are broken.

I am looking to build a website ground up .

What are the places to get a domain for less ?

What are the options to build/host the website that provide some templates?

Thanks for sharing.

The super easy way: neocities.org

Once you have something built, transfer the html and site files to an actual host. A VPS running apache or something.
Register your domain privately, njal.la

GoDaddy
Is affordable for registering a domain name and has excellent phone support.
Has website creation tools.

Throwing in AWS. You can start off using their free-tier (there will still be a cost to register a domain w/ R53).
Even if you upgrade, the cost is minimal unless you are running applications and need to move data out.

The downside is that this is really a DIY framework. So no website templates.
