I downloaded Firefox and have been playing around on it for a few days. Then I went to my favorite food porn site and WOW. I've been going there for 3 years. And all this time, I thought that she just had a slightly messy blog. NOT EVEN CLOSE. I saw what it really looked like today while using Firefox. Everything was so nice and neat and there were several things that I could see for the first time that NEVER showed up in IE, and that's after me using window washer and adaware.

I found out how to import roboform, figured out how many ads I don't have to see on webpages and now, I'm so happy.

I kept IE but only b/c I need it to get onto my job's website. It works on IE only. I have the firefox IE tool (which works w/ my company's website), but I am unsure whether I have to keep IE to use it or not.

IE is not possible to get rid of and even if you did use one of those 3rd party tools running around..

It's integrated into quickbooks, quicken, aol etc. meaning if you have that software you BREAK it..

Of course there's another way to look at this, who ever designed the website did not properly test it using the popular browsers, a good site designer will make sure their website is compatible with the most popular ones, not just one or 2.

I don't use quickbooks, quicken, etc. and AOHELL is not on my computer.

Why can't I just delete it if I want to?

There are a few sites that force you to use IE, probably because they're too lazy. IE needs it for Win updates, too.

Well, not on vista yah don't.. and actually not on XP.. the EU version of vista is suppose to have a way to keep IE uninstalled if I remember right..

You need it to run manual updates you can read/do yourself on XP but bare in mind I've never tried running Automatic Updates with having IE removed on any system.. which requires a 3rd party TOOL

My only warning is remember if you remove it.. some software you may USE now or in the future may break..
