I condemned the activities of the scammers and I am sorry for your loss because no one should go through what you experienced.
I read your story, my understand is when you purchase anything from anyone or companies, E bay, Macys, Amazon, etc the first thing is make a PAYMENT and the company will send you the item or product..... I think this is GREED because they promise to pay more so you sent your item to them in another country and that is the truth you are just looking to make more money.
I work in the bank and I see FRAUD in this country every seconds of the day , I mean every seconds of the day, companies and people stealing other people informing when they make purchases or payments at RESTAURANTS, ONLINE, STORES, buying MORTGAGES just to mention few, all this happen here in the U.S, Will I see an American and RUN.... NOOOOO.
The people saying when you hear the word NIGERIA RUN is a wrong approach.
I was a victim of fraud myself I sign up for home business sent payment to the company and I also called this company before I sent the money to the company in FLORIDA I was told the package will be SHIPPED within 7-14 days after a week I called they stop pick their calls, the recording said telephone number does not exist and they people I spoke with were American, this is couple of years ago I reported it to better business bureau and went to post office to trace the payment, post office said they have received the same information from couple of people as well. I did not make any success until now , Though I have since let go.
Take Bernie Madoff's scam for example that let thousands of people without money, retirement and pensions that happen here in the U.S, these are terrible people and greed all we can do is pray not to fall into the TRAP.
Thanks so much for your response, i really do appreciate... i will offer you $325 to close the deal on the item because i really need it urgently and i want it to be sold for me , i hope the price is reasonable enough?
I will be moving into my new apartment when i return to the state in less than 10 days so i really want to buy it in order set my home before my arrival.
Please kindly send me your FULL NAMES AND ADDRESS so that i can issue a check in your name to pay for the item, and also do not forget to include a contact number for easy communication. My shipper will come to pick up when your payment has been cleared.
The check will get to you in 2-3 days cos it will be sent through a first class mail via UPS...
One of the key ways to spot these scams is that the senders usually use poor grammar and syntax in their emails. Even 'phisher's who spam fake company emails do this. Guess some people just don't notice.
I'm sorry.....I am SO totally amazed that folks actually fall for this garbage. I've seen variations of this dating back to the 80's, when the company I was Sales Manager for received a PO for some equipment with VERY favorable terms....TOO favorable. Yeah - big-time scam that would've caused us to lose almost $100k worth of equipment that would have been impossible to recover.
There ain't no free lunch - an' if you try to get one, you deserve what you end up with!
i'm amazed that we have a bunch of trolls that are "new" members who are coming in and reviving old threads randomly. sorry, but it just seems too suspicious.
want to post the emails of two spammers: alpacinosergio9@gmail.com and omojohnson112@gmail.com who both tried to get me to ship a laptop to Nigeria and insisted payments were sent via paypal- OBVIOUSLY they were not. I knew this was a scam up front, but wanted to see how it played out so I could report them.
