Is there anyway I can block when I'm on-line so that no one see's that I'm on? I get tired of Instant Messages and stuff. Thanks.

I don't think you can change your online visibility, but there is a heck of a lot you can do about receiving messages in particular and privacy/friends in general--just go to Settings on the upper right.

I quit all IM'ing a couple of years ago because it became such a pain to have to chat with everyone each time I was online. There are times you want to and times it is sooooooooo annoying.

Just remember - Facebook is not secure either.

On the bottom of the page there's something that says : chat, Just click it, then options.. it should bring up something that says go online or offline.

I never, ever go on there showing I'm online..

You can pop out of chat. Click on the bottom right button that says options. It will say pop out of chat.

heh
I came back to this thread to say the same thing as GSherman. I did not know how to pop out because I've never bothered to do it.

I never receive annoying chat messages on Facebook.
My friends just don't do that, and strangers never bother me, unlike Yahoo which is full of that sort of thing.

Same with Google chat--no problems.
Sometimes I'm invisible on Google, but usually not, because I like it on the rare occasion when my kids (who are grown and out of the house) chat me.
