In the last couple of days, IE will just suddenly shut down. It just did it today with a run time error. I have IE 7. Any reason why it is doing this? I usually have Yahoo up, CD, and Facebook when this happens.

Have you checked to make sure that there was no automatic "upgrade" to IE8?

What you are describing is what happened to me with that upgrade.

If your using skype with the IE add-on, make sure you get the latest version, theres a known issue with that skype add-on (not sure if it affects 7 though, I know it affects 8)

And M$ producing only infallible and perfect software and has included the bug ridden IE8 as an automatic update in their normal updates. If you have your system set for automatic updates relinquishing any control over the process (M$'s recommended and default setting) then they have installed IE8 without asking your permission.

That is why I do not allow automatic updates, and always review what they want to install before allowing the updates to be installed.

I still have IE7 even with the automatic updates. I cancel out of the update install step if I find out it installs IE8. I have Skype installed but not using it at all. It hasn't repeated itself in the last 2 days.
