My wife has it, it's not bad. Signal strength isn't great in some spots. Most of the time it's not quite fast enough to watch streaming video unless you allow it to buffer for a long time. Other than that, it's okay for web browsing, and the modem is easy to use. I even got it to work on a linux machine we have, although that's kind of dodgy.

Cricket wireless is horrible! I had them for a while until switching to Clear. Quite frequently it was SLOWER than dial up, and it would go out all the time.

It really depends where you live. I just got Cricket, and my download speed is about 640kbs. Which is awesom compared to my only other option (dialup. well i could use Satellite, but for the price and the FAP I'd rather not). If you are used to DLS/Cable/fiber, you'll hate it.

OK screw Sprint, they disconnected me again because I was three days late on a payment.

So I went to the corporate Cricket store in Madison. The kid behind the counter said it wouldn't work in my area but I bought it anyway. He waived the activation fee, charged me 50.00 + tax for the modem and away I went ( currently there is a 50.00 mail in rebate and the first month is free. Out the door cost was the 50.00 for the modem and February is free. First bill is in March).

I installed it on my laptop in the parking lot where I got five bars and headed down the road to my place (rural Cambridge). Surprisingly there was good signal most of the way, but for a few dips where it dropped off completely.

Back at home, I get two bars and it is as fast if not faster than Sprint. For 40.00 a month and no contract, I am a happy camper!
