In the past when someone has blocked me, they would appear offline. When I would send them a message as they appeared offline, I got a message saying "This user does not accept offline ims" and when I logged into aim straight from my aol mailbox I would get a message saying "this user has blocked you" when I tried sending an offline im.Now, there is someone on my list who is appearing online on my friends messengers, but on mine is offline. I am assuming that I am blocked. BUT when I send them offline messages... those two above sentences I wrote do not appear. Does this mean I am blocked? If so, why am I not receiving those messages?
Blocked or not, if you send messages and don't get response, it means that someone don't want to talk with you. You get different computer generated messages, depends on how you log in to AIM. You will see that person off line , but your friends will not, because they are not blocked. Most likely that person already deleted you from his/hers friends list.
I understand that depending on how you log into aim you get a different message but I always thought you get a message period. But my messages are going through... I am not getting a message back at all, no matter how I log in through aim (from the web, from messenger, etc.). And they appear online on my friends, so I'm wondering.. did this person really block me? Or are they able to appear offline to just one person?
Email that person, if you can - and ask. If you don't get a response or your email come back to you as undeliverable, they you know your answer.
