I have no idea if it is just me but I cannot get my firefox to work... at all. It was up yesterday but no go today. Am i the only one or are others having trouble? I do not like using IE but what is one to do?

What version? I had problems all the way up through 3.5.6. Upgrade to the latest - I did and fine (so far).

I've been having problems where pages suddenly won't load at all and when I close Firefox I also have to go to task manager to kill the process.

I've had the use TaskMgr to kill Firefox for quite a while.
Downloaded 3.6 very recently and had the same click on link and page wouldn't load, same tab or new. That could be related to 'NoScript'.
I don't reboot real often but haven't had that problem since rebooting last, or a recent NoScript update. Seems to be okay now.

Once and a while, I read my mail, and then Firefox, says that I am also logged in on another computer ...
Maybe a good safe browser, but not without problems ....

I rebooted and it was ok, for now. It drives me crazy! I love the tabbed browsing and all but geez!

Get SeaMonkey or Chrome.

PS if you are running Zone Alarm, don't. Use something like SpyBot instead. That cleared up a lot of my problems also.
