I dont plan to buy a pc now since il be using my receiver & keyboard with dialup4less. I dont have xtra money to spend. It just pisses me off knowing i could of gotten the same net service for half the price. I have spent around 264.00 yr to msntv compared to 120.00 to dialup4less. Thats a 144.00 diff xs 12 yrs. Wow !!

Good for you This seems to solve your issue & you get to cut your bill in half.
Dialup4less has been around since 1998. Msntv has been around since 1996. Im not sure now about dialup4less after reading this post. According to dialup4less the receivers will work fine after the msntv shut down but they could be misinformed. Idk what to believe.

Looks like you might have a problem. I just called dialup4less & they are not sure that the msn/webtv box will work ? He thinks it might. He's just not sure. They do have a page that shows set-up instructions for MSNTV. It looks like in the past they have had WEBTV/MSN on their system. You should call them up again & get some more info.

According to a few very reliable people the receivers will never work again after sept 30th. No ifs, ands or buts. Dialup4less isnt sure so its best to not chance it esp since they have a no refund policy & bill you every 3, 6 or 12 months.
Dial Up should not be used for internet access in 2013.
The provider they're talking about offers service for as low as $6.95/month. I'm not going to tell other people they have to spend more for Internet service to be happy.

well maybe dial up is ok for those who don't use the internet everyday and go to multiple sites. I know that you cannot go to sites like this if you have dial up

I can actually access facebook but i choose not to. I also dont care for twitter or youtube. I can still access quite a few sites with my dialup service. If i get a pc in oct ill get dialup4less & pay only 9.95 month. Thats a big diff compared to the 21.95 im paying now. Msn is not cheap & ill never get their service again. I dont even have a cell phone & dont plan to anytime soon.

I understand not wanting to pay too much, but I still don't understand why you'd opt for dial up instead of 9.99 or 14.99 DSL from the local phone company.
