I haven't heard a peep out of him either. Till recently we pm'd on a regular basis. Maybe he went to California? He'd been talking about going to see a friend there this summer.

No I take that back, he left me a humorous, but anonymous comment, on the 10th. No clue other than that.

(sorry to go off topic but it seemed pertinent)

Since August 2001 I've had cable Internet service. It has, however, changed owners a number of times. Here's the chronology:

1) MediaOne
2) AT&T Broadband
3) Comcast
4) Time Warner (Road Runner)

Because of all this change of ownership, I decided to never use the e-mail address tied to the ISP. Rather, I use either Yahoo or Gmail for my e-mail addresses, since they won't change when the ISP's owner does.

When my ISP was Comcast, I looked into DSL service from my local provider (SBC Yahoo, now AT&T Yahoo). I found out that I lived too far from the phone company's central office to get the faster speeds, so I decided to stick with my cable provider.

In all the years I've had cable Internet service, it's only been down three times that I can remember, and usually for no more than an hour. I can truly and honestly say that I've been very pleased with my high speed Internet service.

Thats the connection speed to your router - not the speed you get from the internet.
