I like to pick up dirt cheap stocks of companies that are either recovering or have growth potential. I bought F, KERX, AEZS, and ABR when they hit historical lows and have made a hefty sum of money in the last year and a half. I also have made some mistakes with others like STEM and TXCO. You win some and lose some, which is why it is so important to have a diversified portfolio.
