I was sorry to hear that today- I've watched him for years and thought he was a sweetheart- when he was saying goodbye to Erin Burnett a few weeks ago - I thought I would cry too. RIP Mark-
It was definatly sad. He is one of the only people on CNBC I actually liked because he was not a tool. Most people on CNBC are nothing but journalists who know very little about the market or economics anyway. But then I rarely turn on CNBC anyway.
I'd been worried about Mark's health for a couple of years at least. It seemed about a year ago he tried to change his diet, but I don't think that lasted very long. Lately, whenever he wasn't there I worried he was off having some medical thing done. Had this sense about his health for a good long while. I'm guessing it was his bad diet, smoking, and lack of exercise that did him in. Nothing complicated. Probably a heart attack after dinner. Happened to my neighbor. It is a real shame.
Whenever Mark talked, I turned up the volume. These are still very uncertain times. I found his opinions worth considering. I miss him.
