Anyone else following this stock? I bought some shares last week and it's up about 35%. I think I'll hold it for now. Although there was little interest in their IPO, their non-invasive cancer treatments seem promising.

Well, you guys missed out. It's now up 88% in the last week and 16% in the last couple of days. This was actually a tip from Cramer, who I usually don't follow.

There is an article in last week's Las Vegas Review Journal on the device. I had read about it, but it sounded so unbelievable... electric fields that disrupt cancer cell division in glioblastomas.

However, it seems to be effective. The article states it costs 21K monthly and is reimbursed by insurance. I do read where it is to be used along with chemo. Survival went from 2 to 6 months. That's impressive!

One of my stocks is due to report phase one results in a trial using targeted chemo against gliobastomas based on animal studies conducted by Dr. Nicholas Butowski, M.D., Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery and Principal Investigator of the study at the University of California. UCA is sponsoring the trial. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/...=MM-398&rank=5

I think you are trying to pump the stock. Not sure how effective is it to post it on city data but doesn't hurt to give it a try. If anyone is trying to be a long term investor (as opposed to trader), I would definitely wait until more data is available. Very risky stock at this point.

When I opened this thread last week, NVCR was a good buy at around $18. This was after their IPO flopped (issue price was $22, I believe). It gained some momentum, briefly went above $30 and now seems to have settled in the mid $20s. I got out at $28.

I wasn't trying to "pump" this stock, though I can see how it might have seemed like I was. Obviously, it's highly speculative. I might get back in as more info becomes available. There is quite a bit of discussion on cancer related websites and the comments are quite positive.
