There are stats to make any argument. If a stock is truly going to disrupt an industry and be the industry leader, a 100% return is just a drop of water in the larger picture. I do expect volatility, which is why I have 40% cash on the side in case it crashes, so I can buy more. However, if it doesn’t crash, that 60% is still probably going to give better returns than fully invested in a market fund. We’ll see though, anyone invested in Ark should agree and see the big picture from Cathie and her team. This isn’t meant to be a short term trade.

If you read or watch all of the fund manager's videos and articles, she says the same thing. I was impressed by her honesty. You have to remember that the interviews are conducted by Wall Street media so they will cut things they don't feel fit their headline. A few interviews were shown in their entirety.
Cathie's top five buys last week for those wondering what she's spending all the new money on.
Funds report purchases and holdings on delay. You won't know till up to 60 days after the quarter. She said that the funds are not allowed to keep cash in her bullish funds. She has a very minimal amount in an Institutional Fund. is probably the same for her bear funds.

Interesting segment on Fast Money yesterday afternoon. I’m trying to find the clip online but basically they explained why Wood’s recent success may also lead to her demise. Something to do with the volume of inflows/outflows from her funds and also other funds undercutting her on her trades. It was an interesting piece. She’s certainly struggling more this week in particular than she has in some time. Perhaps these high flying growth stocks are finally moving out of favor and value returning?

IMO her fund structure worked to her advantage earlier. With her popularity up it’s going to become a headache.
