I'm thinking in ABBV.

What's your thoughts and what would you do?

COnsider than many stocks are still low from the whole covid thing. When covid over, most of them will go back up. Some stocks pay a dividend, and when they are low they pay a higher dividend.

I have been invested in ABBV ever since the spinoff from ABT. This is a good choice; however, at $120/month, you should maybe consider diversifying into a few other stocks also.

Example, put $120 in ABBV in months 1, 4, 7, and 10, and $120 into something else in months 2, 3, 5, 6, and so forth. Or put $40/month into each of three stocks. Or mutual funds. Or ETFs. Or CEFs.

Another stock that has good fundamentals and growth prospects is CAH. NEE has also done very well and has excellent growth prospects given the charge toward green energy that is to come.

That's the LAST place I would put $120 a month - into some drug company.
Actually I take that back -- bitcoin would be the last place, but drug companies would be high on the list.

How old are you and what are you looking to do? Growth or income?

I’d go with an ETF... putting 100% of money into one stock doesn’t have a good risk/reward imo...

Market growth, low risk... VTI

Medium growth, medium risk... QQQ

High growth, high risk... ARKK

Still bashing on Bitcoin I see lol. As we approach a new record high and $30,000 milestone. Do you keep your money in one of those 0% checking accounts???

I agree. When starting with small dollars, I’d recommend dollar cost averaging into an index fund such as SPY, QQQ, or VTI or a mutual fund like Fidelity Growth, Contra or Blue Chip.
