C’mon man indeed.

Correction: 10% or more drop from the high.

Crash: 20% or more drop from the high.

Bear market: The SEC defines a bear market as a sustained period of downward trending stock prices of 20% or more over at least two months.

According to the investment company Invesco, the average length of a bear market is 363 days.

What's the big deal? Well, not much to like about what is going on anywhere: US leadership, FED, US political divide, Omicron, supply chain.......
Are we headed for civil war?

What are you arguing? The marketwatch article says the same exact thing as the tweet I posted earlier. 66 “corrections” and 24 “bear markets” since 1971. Do YOU understand the difference?

Here’s another one saying the SAME EXACT THING:

https://www.morningstar.com/news/mar...form-afterward

“The index has registered a correction, as defined, 65 times since it was first launched in 1971 and of those corrections, 24 of them, or 37%, have resulted in bear markets, or declines of at least 20% from a recent peak.”
