NVDA only up 3.5% since July 1 now. And I’ve got a feeling you’ll be able to buy it cheaper than $145 (July 1 closing price) this fall…

NVDA at $141.60 after hours. Forget this fall, just had to wait a few more hours to get it below $145!

Looks like AMD is getting whacked too, though not as bad. The US ordered both companies to stop selling advanced chips to China:

https://www.reuters.com/technology/n...na-2022-08-31/

If this drags down the whole sector, I’ll be loading up on TXN on weakness. That’s what I like about TXN, they don’t make these advanced types of chips. Tremendous company, a serial compounder that’s not as exposed to the geopolitical risks that some of the others are. Very diversified international manufacturing footprint with only one fab each in China and Taiwan, and a good amount of capacity here in the US.

For anyone who’s interested…

I'm a tech junkie but I'm not buying now and I'm not buying until maybe the end of September. We're coming into one of the worst months for tech stocks so I don't think the bottom is in. Happy if it doesn't do what it normally does and all who bought will profit, though. Just proceed with caution and buy small numbers of shares, if you must.

This out today:

I wish I had shorted NVDA at $300+, shoulda coulda woulda.... just like I wish I had put every dollar I had into a PLUG short at $74 and / or gone long on BOIL at $25. Easy to look back and say it -- much more difficult to have the nerves of steel to actually do it in real time.

Woah baby, NVDA hit $133 a bit ago. Down 8% since July 1. Surprised to see no sarcastic replies from Lowexpectations now that it’s truly discounted.
