You can have more than one reason for an action, but to believe Elon bought Twitter as a public service is completely laughable

Having said that, many Tesla investors were mad at Elon because in order to hid the ludicrous $54.20 buyout price for TWTR he had to dump massive amounts of TSLA shares which drove the price down for a while. Looking at TSLA's price today, I'd say all is forgiven.
When the enemies were at the gates, Twitter would suspend democracy and appoint one man to protect the company. It wasn’t considered an honor, it was a public service.

Harvey, the last man to protect the company was named Elon…

Well, maybe you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Thanks for clearing that up. So Elon owns 80%, Some Saudi Prince owns 6%, Elon's old buddy Larry Ellison, Jack Dorsey, and some vulture capital funds own the rest. I don't weep for them.

"Public service" in a tongue in cheek way. The public service is to allow more free speech and not suppress conservative opinions.

Free speech had nothing to do with conservatives, it’s either free speech or it isn’t. You also don’t need to ry and define what others mean by “public service” as your opinion of what others think isn’t what was being discussed

Nothing for me to be mad about at all, just as there’s no reason to fabricate things that are easily dispo

Yes it does because liberals are always the ones suppressing free speech. Elon even mentioned thats one of the reasons he purchased Twitter. The definition of "public service" was being debated so I gave my educated and likely correct opinion. This is my thread so I've got OP rights.
