15+ years ago I bought some stocks that have since 'died' / became unlisted. They are in an IRA so there's no incentive to take the loss this or any other year vs. leave them in my account because they might come back to life and make me rich <g>

But my OCD has me asking - any advice on how to know what's going on with these / any minute chance that these might have some value someday?

67057N969 CASINO MANAGEMENT OF AMERICA INC - RESTRICTED Oh! the SEC sued some people about this company? For fraudulent market manipulation in 2010? https://www.sec.gov/files/Complaint1...g-Fischler.pdf

67057N951 NUOASIS LAUGHLIN INC RESTRICTED I found a forum about this stock from 2000?

624991535 MOUNTAIN TOP PPTYS RSTD There's a company by this name (symbol MTPP) that last traded at 5c? But not sure when. And I have restricted stock, so that's different

209785104 CONSOLIDATED PICTURES GROUP INC I found that this had a 12K suspension as of 11/25/09

Almost funny - some of these have pages on Bloomberg.com, but other than the company name... the pages are blank : )

Try the new AI programs. Might have to ask the question several different ways. Probably not much info.

According to the OpenCorporates, Casino Management of America, Inc. is a corporation registered in Utah, United States with company number 1136070-0142. The company was incorporated on 2019-03-11 and is currently inactive1. Unfortunately, I could not find any other information about this company. Is there anything else I can help you with?

You mean "delisted" - usually not by choice, and usually a sign that the company was in dire financial straights and close to death. Very unlikely they have any value, particularly after this long (2000?). But they are still shares of that company if they exist. Seem you already did some research. If you can't find any current info, phone number, etc...you are probably SOL. Small, very small, chance they are still trading as an OTC stock.

When a stock gets delisted from a major exchange, it usually trades on the OTC markets. Meaning it is a penny-stock. Most of those stocks go bankrupt or stop trading eventually. Meaning if you held shares until the end your position was liquidated and your shares expired worthless. For tax purposes, the taxable event from the sale of stock already recorded on the final liquidation date, so you no longer have any actions or decisions to take- those decisions were already made for you. In bankruptcy, the common stock shares are eliminated permanently and the shareholders walk away with nothing. The company may later emerge from bankruptcy and create new shares, but those are unrelated to the old shares.

What brokerage did you use to purchase those stocks? I would start by contacting them. They should be able to provide you with an account statement showing the buy/sell orders. You should be able to identify the fate of each stock. If that fails, maybe try looking up on the OTC market website. Perhaps they have historical archives. The last thing would be to research each individual company online to determine if they are still in business, or if their stock still trades.

Reminds me of this scene in Wolf of Wall Street:
