Large institutions and hedge funds are selling commodities to cover their margin calls on the stocks in their portfolios. The dollar also made a large gain on Friday and usually trades directly inverse to gold and silver.

Once investors lose their interest in this junk it will drop hard, no way there is going to be a big demand for gold/silver during a global recession.

I have a bunch of silver bars and coins from my crazy grandparents. Hoping to sell them at a good price, but knowing my luck the price of silver will collapse before I get off by butt.

I'd hang on to them for a bit longer. I've got a ton of them as well.

I have friends with plenty oif silver from when the hunts tryed to corner the market. They loss interest then that they just kept them ;mostly silver coins that were use in the vegas slots years ago. They really have zero invested since they sold so many to collectors. But as they said they thought at the time they were going to make a mint but learned a lesson.
