Personally I think we'll be in a Range of 6500-7500 for sometime.....The Dow will probably end around 6700 today...Too much uncertainty, and these bailout really need to STOP!

I think the floor will be in the 5000s at best. No businesses or investors have any confidence in Obama's economic policies.

The bank bailouts actually helped but the stimulus and the presdients p[roposed budget tanked that.Everytime tresury or the president talks people seem to lose confidence especialy the markets.

There really are no supports that will sustain this backlash of investor sentiment. People have gone from losing confidence in Obama to betting against him. We have just experienced the worst January and February on record and so goes March. I think we're a ways from capitulation. I wouldn't be surprised if there is intervention at some point.

It seems like every time we break thru even number of point, there's a wide spread sell off....

Happened @ 9k, 8k, 7k, i guess 6k will be the next massive sell off.

We've broken through the 2002 lows that marked the end of the previous bear market, while continuing to set new lows—very bearish. According to the charts, the next floor would be around SPX 666 (no comment) and Dow 6000. I’m guessing these supports aren’t nearly as strong as the escalating tide of negativity.

Earnings season is still not over. Plenty more bad news to come in the next month. I think we will hit a floor at around 6200 and then trade in a range 6500 - 7000 for a while.

As of now my guess is that the DOW will almost certainly go below 5,000 and could very likely see 3,000s or even lower...all due to the idiotic Obama administration economic policies.

If I look at this thread a couple years from now and the DOW is lower than 3,000 it will surprise me even one tiny little bit. There is nothing (ZERO) I see happening out of the Obama administration or Fed to turn the economy around and everything (which is a LOT) I see being done that will destroy it.

I look for some extremely troubling times ahead.

5,500 is very likely on the Dow, the scary number will be 500 on the S&P.

If it hits these levels, we will see homeless and indigent rise 20%.

Because the market will collapse under the bankruptcy and insolvency of many, many small businesses and large corporations.

These are the levels that tell me social unrest is imminent. Unemployment will be at 30%

I think the next resistance point is 6400 or so. After that I don't know. We passed 6800 without a blink and kept going down.
