I am relocating to Iowa City and I have been looking for nice condominiums/townhouses in the town that aren't too expensive. I know that certain parts of Iowa City have a high crime rates and I do not want to nor will I stay in those areas. I found Court Hill Condominiums on S. Scott Blvd and I was thinking about staying there if they were worth the money and more importantly safe. I heard north Scott Blvd is safe but is south Scott Blvd unsafe? Any constructive feedback would be much appreciated.

That neighborhood is very safe, and very nice. The neighborhood you might worry about would be south of Highway 6.

I live around that area and it's perfectly safe. It's a quiet little suburb pretty far east of all the downtown hustle and bustle, and north of the 'bad' areas.

Also moving to Iowa City and already feel as if I know a lot about the city due to news articles. Granted I have also learn more about the city that I would have liked, specifically it's crime. The city does have crime but still safe due to the effort the community's has in showing it's not acceptable. I thinking most areas you find in Iowa City is safe, stereotype that I do know is to avoid the southeastern part of the city.
