I just found your pix of Iowa City from 2008.
You wrote that you found them on the internet. I wondered if you had gone to Iowa City since then & snapped some pix of your own or if you had any more collected from the internet that you wanted to add here to breath new life into the thread.
And finally, your pix were added in January of 2008. The great flood occurred later that year. Do you know which of the campus buildings pictured have been deemed as unusable & will be replaced? I read that the on-campus damage alone ran at around $700 million.

Atler8: I think most of the buildings have been replaced or are in the process of being rebuilt ... At least east of the river ... Iowa Memorial Union being one of them. I'm sure Chicago60614 will give you a much more detailed account

I have quite a few pics of Iowa that I hope to post on the general forum once I figure out how to attach them in one or two posts ...
