So the city of Council Bluffs has the yellow light at the "red light camera intersections" shortened to less than 3 seconds. Even the ones that are immediately off the Interstate.

Now they're nearly doubling the fine to $197.

Unbelievable.

Idiots.

These people are shameless frauds and hucksters. No wonder pretty much everybody in Omaha says, "CoucilTucky - where the squirrels are black and the trash is white."

I don't EVER go to Council Bluffs to buy building supplies any more.

Also that terrible family from "Teen Mom" lives there. We went over there to have dinner last week and saw the crazy Grandma pushing around baby.

Council Bluffs was always considered the step-child of the Omaha metro area. Odd how the two C towns at opposite ends of the state (Council Bluffs and Clinton) have terrible reputaions. Nubsville.

I've driven through Council Bluffs before and thought it seemed like such a cute town. I think of that every time I watch Teen Mom.. Do people in CB treat that family like celebrities now? I've been so curious!

They've added some of those over the years in Urbandale and Clive. I never drive on those streets. While the city sees that as a good thing because the traffic is now lighter due to others that also avoid those streets, the businesses probably aren't thrilled.

And Des Moines just added cameras to the eastbound freeway between 56th and Polk.

People see the camera monitored signs and slam on their brakes. It will be interesting to see how the accident rate changes along that stretch...

Sorry. Maybe I typed too fast! If I corrected everything I saw spelled wrong on CD I'd never have time to do anything else.
