Hi,

We are looking at being relocated to the Eddyville,IA area, and in the process of checking this out. We have a couple of children who have taken dance lessons for many years, and are looking for a very good reputable dance studio in the area. Can anyone many any good recomendations?

Thanks

~S~

In Albia (10 min away south) there is Shannon's School of Dance. In Oskaloosa (10 min NW) There is : THe Dance Academy. In Ottumwa (15 minutes away N.East): Potporri Fine Arts Academy & Dance Inc.

My 3 girls have been to: Shannon's, Potpourri and Dance Inc. Shannon's was their favorite hands down due to the fun , no stress atmosphere (and if their scheduled ever die's down, we will go back).

For competitive instruction, " Dance Inc," has a wonderful tumbling and cheerleading program. We quit going there do to the time commitment & drive.

Potpourri is ran like a boot camp, but she does offer :music & art in addition to dance.

A new dance studio is opening in Oskaloosa, IA. The Releve' Dance Studio, under the management of Summer Holcolm Brice, will open in August/September 2010 and will offer classes in several disciplines for all ages, including adult.

Releve' will concentrate on fundamentals, fun, and confidence-building. Competition will not be a high priority.

More info at relevedancestudio@gmail.com.

Merc dont do dancin , however he does know those who do.

A couple of my nieces and little relatives in the Centerville area attended this place and have all done well with it.
One of em is even rather infamous at the Iowa State Fair , however I think thats more for cooking than dancing , but she did win something with the footwork stuff one time.
( Her mom and Grandma are real well known at the State Fair , ever heard the name "Robin Tarbell Thomas" ? )

Here is a link to the dancing joint if interested , it is located in Centerville IA. ( the Centerville down by the MO. border , not the one north of Dez moynezz )

I can tell you the dance class where my child was engaged. Teachers are very competent and experienced. Your child will definitely like it. https://www.farfallafitness.com/

Our two girls have tried out several different ones but their favorite by far is Premier Dance in Ottumwa 15 minutes to the east of Eddyville.

Eddyville is an extremely small town so I would be surprised that you find a dance studio there. Most people I know that work for Cargill or Ajinomoto, Eddyville's two biggest employers, live in surrounding larger towns and commute to work.
