is it funny and makes your town look cool or stupid

or what do you think of the film?

btw: as someone from Omaha nebraska and has a crappy 1995 movie named after my town, at least Cedar rapids movie trailer looks great.

so cedar rapids at least has a watchable movie named after their town.

I haven't seen it yet, but I know that most of it was not actually shot in Cedar Rapids which is a letdown. Kind of like The Crazies; it was set in a small town north of Cedar Rapids, yet only a few of the Main Street scenes were actually filmed in Iowa. The majority was filmed in Georgia.

The actual storyline looks ok. I will wait to judge until I see it.

I grew up a few miles from the town they filmed the scenes of "The Crazies" filmed in Iowa in, Lenox. It was lots of fun to see those shots and recall different times I was in the area in the shot.

Cedar Rapids looks good, but I am a huge John C. Reilly fan, so I am biased.

I had a choice today to either see Cedar Rapids or The Fighter. I chose the Fighter since it won the Oscars last night. The Fighter was a good movie and I enjoyed it.

I would like to see Cedar Rapids while its out on release, but the reviews are up and down with it. Thought I would come on here and ask people in Iowa what they thought of it. Hopefully someone will have seen it. Its playing here in Portland, Or so I imagine its out on release everywhere or at least in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Thanks.

Funny movie, shows the "middle-management-meets-happy-hour" culture of the midwest very well.
