Where do I find rentals? Which newspapers, online, etc...? Hubby will be working in Fairfield, and is willing to drive up to 25 mins or so to work. We're wanting a safe neighborhood, and we have pets! We do not want a slum area but will have to rent for a while.
Any advice?

The local paper (Fairfield Ledger) has online classifieds and usually lists several rentals. I don't know the URL, I just Google it when I want to read it. From the Ledger website you can also link to the Mount Pleasant and Washington newspaper sites, those are small towns about 20-25 miles from Fairfield.
