Again, was never built. In the process, Des Moines didn't want Iowa City to get it. Just imagine if it had gone to Omaha, lol.
It is alway nice to get a report from the alternate universe where Ronnie lives. Interesting stuff.

Lol, you know what I'm talking about, but you act as if you don't - something you do a lot. If any "rival" city had gotten that, would have been pandemonium.

This whole "good for the state" thing is a lie. Even on Absolutedsm forum you can still read the comments...such disappointment when it went to Coralville. Wait, then they didn't get it either, lol.

I remember that thing, that would have been right near my parents house. Everyone in Iowa City just kinda laughed - they knew it was 99% just some silly pipe dream. It was a pretty funny idea.

It was taken very seriously in Des Moines, lol. You can still find the 16 pages of discussion on AbsoluteDSM about it. A lot of "Why did Iowa City get it! DM dropped the ball!"

Pipe dream? I think not. With all the heat and humidity we're introducing into the air with human generated climate change, we may well be on route to creating a tropical rain forest in Coralville. Outdoors version. Which, if I'm correct, basically gets Coralville back to the ancient roots its name suggests.

The rain forest idea was supposed to be built in Coralville, not Iowa City. Honestly, the discussion did seem like a pipe dream.

I went to Iowa in the late eighties, and currently live in Iowa City now. The fact that there are many people from the Chicago area is not news.

From Chicago and the university to the rain forest. Some negative posters are certainly adept at hijacking a thread.
