Greetings!
First time poster.
My family and I are moving to Iowa next week and are looking for a safe place to lay our heads while we search for a rental home.
Can someone recommend an affordable place to stay for a few weeks? My job is in Muscatine, but am open to commuting from Cedar Rapids or Iowa City.
I really would like to stay in an extended stay, but I don't think that I can afford it. My budget is about $300-$450/wk.

We are in the same spot-just a few weeks behind you. We are planning on staying at the Microtel in Cedar Rapids. It's on 13 and Collins Rd area. We've stayed at Microtels in the past and have had good experiences. They rooms are small but clean and the staff has always been friendly. We haven't stayed at this particular one yet though. Room prices for a queen room are around $35/night. I just mapped it out and it's an hour an a half drive-maybe not the best idea.
