The leaves are changing so it's time for a fall road trip. What's your favorite spot? North up 67 or 61, South down 61, Illinois side up or down 84? Let me know and I'll see how much area I can cover and try to post some pics.

Thanks for your help.

Honestly I like them all but if you go over to I80, wave to me around the West Branch sign. I don't live in West Branch but I'm not far from there.........have a safe trip and I hope you get some wonderful photos.

Take Great River Road (67) from Le Claire to Dubuque then follow back down on the Illinois side which is I think (84), that's the way me and Dad use to go every year to look at the leaves. Very nice drive, however, I never wen't south of the Quad Cities towards Burlington, etc.. might have to think about that too.

Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive

I say I'm going to do this drive every year but never get around to it. We did it when I was a kid and it was fun, although I don't remember too much about it.

I like Wildcat Den and the Pine Creek Grist mill there, but the last few years I've gone down there in Fall I haven't timed it right for the best fall color.

Thanks again for all your ideas and we've had a couple of fun weekends heading a little west to Iowa City and North along 67. Now it's time to dip in to Wisconsin and hit the Dells. Does anyone have any favorite spots we can check out up there?
