Unless I'm making money from them being on my property, I would hate being surrounded by these monstrosities. Most the people who think we should cover the country with them are people who won't have to live under them.

I DO think that they are a good alternative energy source if you put them in wide open country away from populated areas. I'm tired of things being built to only destroy other peoples property value and home happiness.

Excellent news. The areas where these turbines will be erected are favorable for this type of alternative energy. Why not take advantage? Not only will the actual construction of the turbines create jobs as pointed out in the above piece but companies that use large amounts of energy for their operations will want to expand or relocate to the area to take advantage of lower energy costs and the 'green' element. Companies expanding or relocating there will need buildings built and employees to work in these buildings so yet another layer of employment will be created. The pluses out-weigh the minuses. I would love to work on wind turbines!

-Cheers.

Wind turbines isn't an eyesore as long it looks clean and good looking. It's better than driving thru an endless land of farms in much of Iowa.
