Hey y'all! I'm headed to Vinton in 9 days and just wanted to see if anybody here on the Iowa board has any advice on places to eat, things to do, etc. I'm pretty dang excited about moving out there, as I lived in the midwest (STL metro, Illinois side) for 7 years before going to college in Texas (a Big 12 school, for any Cyclones out there), and am now in NW PA. I'll be there for AmeriCorps NCCC, so I'll spend a month in Vinton before heading off to anywhere imaginable in the upper midwest (or staying in Vinton for a project there, for all I know). I won't have tons of free time during my month there, but what I will have I want to use to enjoy my surroundings as much as possible.
