I see most states on this website have seperate forums for their major cities, can't we get a separate forum for at least Des Moines? ... maybe Cedar Rapids or Davenport?

Or... does everyone here like it all in one & wants it to stay the same? Just wondering if anyone knows how to go about getting one..... I don't care either way but I think it would be cool since most states already have them on here.

I think things are alright the way they are. I don't know if a Des Moines, QC, Cedar Rapids/IC subforum would spur more discussion, I guess it could. Honestly, I think a subforum would be kind of slow and of course make the Iowa forum slower. We can all be one big, happy family here.

On second thought, I see Omaha has their own subforum. I demand one for Des Moines!

Omaha's is a pain in the ass. There is not enough discussion to justify it.

Also, many conversations seem to duplicate themselves in both forums.

Maybe we could solve both problems: rename it the "Omaha vs. Des Moines" forum and demand that all discussions comparing and contrasting the two be kept over there?

I think I'm going retarded. I read your post like 7 times before I understood it, lol. Yeah, I would like to see them comparison threads go away also.

So wait .... was that a no??

Like I said, I think our IA forum is great the way it is... but wanted to see if anyone thought it would benefit the forum if we created sub-forums.

Eastern Iowa cities, Waterloo/CF, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Davenport.... that could be a sub forum, and then we could have one for the whole Des Moines area.

I think that would work too dbq, and personally would like it, but I see both aspects on why people don't want to do it as well.

Yeah, I would agree that it may take a bit of attention away from the IA forum as a whole...

I say keep it like it is. If you check out the Illinois forum, someone posts a Chicago topic in the general area several times a day because they didn't notice there was a separate Chicago forum.
